Distance-based blending

 

Here we demonstrate how the use of diffusion distances can improve the performance of the distance-based blending method of Yatziv and Sapiro [2006]. By replacing the RGB distances by the diffusion distance with the appropriate value of t, a better boundary between the field and the sky is produced in the selection mask.
