We compare against various vectorization methods, specifically

• Vector Magic: The results were created with the online version available at http://vectormagic.com. We applied a Gaussian filter to the inputs before passing them to Vector Magic.
• Adobe LiveTrace: The results were created with Adobe Illustrator CS4. We worked on the scanned input images and used the built-in smoothing option.
